We woke up to torrential downpours, wind, and down right nasty weather! This was the morning we were going to pick up the bike from the Harley dealership in Winnipeg. The dealership was about a 30 minute ride north of the hotel we were staying at, but we needed to pick it up because they were closed for the rest of the weekend for the civic holiday. We drove out, and what an adventure! Puddles in the streets so deep that when we had a big truck pass us, we couldn't see. The roads in Winnipeg are quite rutted, so huge puddles everywhere. It had rained so hard the storm drains couldn't keep up. Dave at the dealership there was kind enough to give us a key to his locked compound so we could pick up the bike on Sunday instead, when the weather was supposed to be better.
Our BC born bride had a good attitude. She said she could deal with rain! Well, we were blessed with sunshine by wedding time, so all was well. It was a beautiful ceremony and a great celebration at Assiniboine Park.

We had a great day and evening, celebrating the marriage of Crystal and Denley, and we were glad we could be in Winnipeg to share this day with them.
